The Club is holding its annual Home and Garden Show on February 6, at Lake Sumter Landing. Proceeds from the day are used to provide scholarships for students at schools within the community. A new "cause" for fund-raising is to provide scholarships to technical schools post-HS graduation.
Our July 18th Food Drive was a great success! The Golden Triangle Club representing Mt. Dora, Tavares and Eustis joined the efforts of the Villages and Leesburg clubs this time, bringing the number of drop-off sites to 11! We are happy with the continued growth in the community outreach! The Villages Rec Center sites (Colony, Mulberry, Savannah) were very busy - Colony need additional helpers to handle the business! We received generous cash donations, as well, to add to the 9,000++ pounds of food stuffs that were collected. The Committee thanks everyone that helped to man drop-off sites and/or donated to the cause. Stay tuned for another event as we see the need again rising in our community.

Hopefully, the July 18th Food Drive, including non-perishables, snacks for school students and hygiene items is on your calendar! Every item is needed, so please think of those in need while you are at the grocery, drug or dollar store in the upcoming weeks.
The club will be adding drop-off sites this time to provide greater convenience for those wishing to donate. These and other details will be added shortly. Please continue to check in.
SAVE THE DATE!
The next Community Food Drive will be held on July 18th (a Saturday) from 10am-2pm. We will be adding collectible items this time so that we can meet the overall need in our greater community. In addition to collecting non-perishable food items, we will also gratefully accept and distribute snacks for school students and hygiene items which are especially appreciated by those in the greatest need.
Please post this information in neighborhood or other club websites or send out in emails. Each donated product is needed!
We will post all other details shortly - please check back at the site.
The FOOD DRIVE was an enormous success. Including all of the donations from drop-off points in the Villages and Leesburg areas, we were able to distribute over 18,000 pounds of non-perishable foodstuffs to area food banks! Many thanks to those who volunteered at the drop-off sites and to those who donated to the cause!
We will be making this a combined Rotary Club effort throughout the year!
